Somerset County Council declared a Climate Emergency in 2019, and issued a framework Climate Emergency strategy in 2020. The aim of the County strategy is “to summarise and outline the work currently co-ordinated by the Local Authorities to meet our targets for carbon neutrality.” It also highlights why the work is being undertaken and that the Strategy will be a collective response to the Climate Emergency.
